The Ricki Herbert Football Academy is committed to the advancement of football in New Zealand. We do this by helping children of all skill levels to reach their maximum potential in an enjoyable but structured environment where peak performance is inevitable.

The RHF Academy’s elite team of professional coaches willingly provide guidance, mentorship, exposure and travel to international tournaments for those children who dream of making football their life while remaining focused on the core values of excellence, professionalism, dedication and fun. At a time where schools, clubs and even federations can only offer so much to so many players, the Ricki Herbert Football Academy is here to offer that other opportunity. This is the opportunity of extra football training, International tours and an overall enjoyment of the game. Be it afterschool, holiday or weekend training, the Ricki Herbert Football Academy is here to keep young and keen footballers interested in the game....an opportunity!

Based around New Zealand
The RHFA is based in 2 major cities across New Zealand. We have a fulltime coach in Wellington running the “Wellington Region”. We then have another fulltime coach based in Auckland running the “Auckland Region”. Because of this, 8-10 week, term programmes are in place to see an increase in development of players over a longer period. We then have a “National Region” which is made of cities around New Zealand that the RHFA travels to, but doesn’t have a coach based there.

Having people based in these larger cities also benefits the small cities/towns around New Zealand. This makes it easier for us to get there more often as we will always be near by. This means we can run our 3-4 day courses on a now more regular basis than before. To make these academies a success we build a strong relationship with either a club or school in that region, and then look to make re-occurring visits there at least 2 times a year (National Region).
